PLAYING LIKE THE ‘BIG BOYS’ –
How a smaller firm can afford to operate like a larger firm
In the firm of Hope, Dreams, and Candu*, you will find a pretty good team of people working together. Bob Hope, Erica Dreams and Ali Candu have been in partnership for 6 years now and have built a modest, but thriving accounting practice. They didn’t expect many of the challenges they’ve had to face along the way, but they’ve somehow managed to get through them. Technology nightmares, client challenges, recruitment issues, team building problems, time management headaches, marketing voids, and the list goes on. All of the issues most firms are quite familiar with.
An overview of this firm would suggest they have their act together (mostly) and are growing in revenues, client base and number of staff. However, if you dig a little deeper, analyze the information and have a heart-to-heart conversation with the partners you would find some overwhelm, frustration and isolation. Not to mention a profit margin in decline.
Hope, Dreams and Candu thought their practice would afford them a much more comfortable and independent lifestyle by this point in time. Bob thought that he would have much more free time available to devote to his growing family and community interests, Erica thought she would have more money and time to be able to travel, and Ali wants more time to help his grown daughter build her new business.
Their reality is a business that seems to suck the life out of them more each year. They manage to control one problem area while another one throws them a curve (working IN the business).
What they need is a dedicated manager/CEO/COO type person who would assist in the overall management issues of leading a successful accounting practice (working ON the business).
Someone experienced in strategic practice management, leadership and operations.
Someone who would help them:
- plan and manage the firm success,
- offer dynamic team building,
- facilitate recruitment and HR,
- identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
- evaluate the resistance level to change management
- implement systems and processes
- review new product offerings for the accounting industry
- implement a newsletter and review marketing/branding opportunities
- assess time management and productivity
- and much more…
Someone like that can cost a lot of money – upwards of $80-100K+/yr.
Now you can hire me: Your CRO-Chief Results Officer
You may already have a CEO/COO title in your firm or you may not be comfortable with someone having those titles, so if you prefer you can call me your CRO-Chief Results Officer.
(My favorite title is one created for the McDonald’s Corporation – they have a Chief Happiness Officer J.)
For $750/month you receive 8 hrs/mo (@ less than $95/hr)
of roll-up my sleeves, professional, administrative, strategic management consulting
PLUS a 2 hr initial assessment meeting at no additional charge.
Monthly PD days, one hour teleseminars, professional association dinners, and good reading (and eNews like this one you’re reading), are all great and helpful but by virtue of their venue and audience, they must deal with only the generalities of the industry.
I’M OFFERING THE OPPORTUNITY FOR A
CUSTOMIZED, EXCLUSIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR BUSINESS.
That means a dedicated Chief Results Officer with skills, experience, and a burning desire to make your firm measurably MORE successful all for the investment of $750/month (that’s $9K/year, not $80K+).
I would love to be that person for your firm.
Hire me now and we’ll plan celebrations for the goals we’ll achieve.
“Fire me’ anytime if you think I’m not performing (my ‘Absence of Fear’ guarantee).
“Hire you NOW? Are you crazy? Tax season is beginning.”
NOW IS THE TIME to do it! This is when you need external, professional resources coming in to assess, assist and benefit the firm.
You’ll see the benefits, your team will see the benefits, and your clients will see the benefits!
No firm is too small to benefit from my services. You can now afford to play like the ‘big boys’.
Remember my mandate is to help you make your practice run more effectively, more profitably and even more enjoyably!
What’s your ROI?
A wide array of wonderful results will be yours from implementing a CRO in your firm. You will reap personal and professional benefits of a firm being managed more effectively.
- You will have more time and resources available to use as you desire. You will have a more profitable business at the end of the day. You will have more confidence in the services you provide. You will find more joy in being an entrepreneur.
- Your staff will benefit from team building skills, reward and recognition, professional development, workflow management, and much more.
- Your clients will be honored and overwhelmed with the additional ability the firm will have to service and advise them.
Please contact me with any questions you may have and to book our assessment meeting.
I can only offer this to a small number of firms. Don’t delay! I look forward to speaking with you.
*Hope, Dreams and Candu is a fictional accounting firm representing many, if not most, ‘smaller’ accounting firms in Anytown, Canada.

Thoughts worth reading, thinking, repeating and embracing.

in a small group engaged in a common task,
sharing the risk of defeat and the potential rewards of victory.”
