HOW
REWARDING IS YOUR BUSINESS FOR YOU?
For many accountants, the level of satisfaction you derive
from running your business is either up or down as we go
into the summer months.
Some accountants reading this newsletter are running
businesses that find them motivated, fulfilled, and excited.
Others are weary, frustrated, and feel trapped. Which one
more accurately describes you?
As you know, your attitude about your business will have a
huge effect on how successful it is and how well your team
works.
Let me ask you 9 serious questions about your business:
-Are your business challenges motivating for you or are you
too weary and overwhelmed?
-Do you find your business is so complex now that you can't
find any joy in it?
-Are you too busy and overtaxed to implement smarter
systems, processes, and structures?
-Does your personal/family life sacrifice at the altar of
'your business' on a regular basis?
-Do you feel like the dreams and goals you once had for your
business are long gone?
-Have you become a commodity to be negotiated down to the
lowest possible fee?
-Do you still have passion for your business?
-Do the people who work with you see and feel your passion
for today and the future of the business?
-Have you invested your time, your money, your heart, your
knowledge, and your hopes into building a great business and
a powerful team?
These questions represent most of the following areas that
affect a business entrepreneur:
Passion or Overwhelm,
Resources or Lacking support systems,
Work/Life balance or Stress,
Complexity or Simplicity,
Teamwork or Lone Ranger,
Motivation or Despair
I have seen firms at all levels: those who are 'on fire'
with passion and motivation, and those who burdened, weary,
and overwhelmed. Which would you rather be?
I would love to talk with anyone who wants to improve their
passion for their firm and find more balance and success in
their life.
